Alireza Tousi – Piano, Voice, Viola, Violin

Dr. Tousi is an accomplished performer, conductor, and educator with over 15 successful years of
experience guiding students toward artistic and academic excellence. A devoted mentor, he is
celebrated for his ability to cultivate expressive musicianship, technical mastery, and intellectual
curiosity in students of all ages and levels. His teaching philosophy centers on empowering each
student to discover their unique artistic identity through a balance of disciplined technique,
historical understanding, and creative exploration.

A distinguished artist and scholar, Dr. Tousi’s musical career spans performance, teaching, and
leadership across the United States. He has collaborated with prominent conductors, stage
directors, and educators from leading institutions in both North America and Europe. His
performance background encompasses opera, professional recital, orchestral, chamber, and
collaborative repertoire, reflecting both depth of artistry and stylistic versatility. Equally
accomplished as a violinist, violist, pianist, and vocalist, Dr. Tousi has appeared in numerous
professional performances as both soloist and ensemble musician. His extensive performance
experience across multiple instruments has deeply informed his interpretive insight, shaping a
holistic and interdisciplinary approach to music-making that he passes on to his students.
As a teacher and mentor, Dr. Tousi is recognized for fostering comprehensive musicianship
integrating performance, theory, ear training, and interpretive expression across voice, strings,
and piano. His approach is both rigorous and nurturing, cultivating confident performers who
understand the broader intellectual and emotional dimensions of their art. Many of his students
have gone on to pursue higher education in music and establish successful artistic careers of their
own.

Dr. Tousi earned his Bachelor of Music in Viola Performance and Master of Music in Voice
Performance from the University of Redlands, his Master of Musical Arts in Voice Performance
from Yale University, and his Doctor of Music in Voice Performance from Florida State
University, each awarded with full scholarships. He studied and worked under highly
distinguished faculty from top conservatories and professional institutions, developing a refined
artistic vision that continues to shape his teaching and performances today.
