Saying Goodbye to Melina

Saying Goodbye to Melina

Last week we said goodbye to one of our most popular piano and vocal teachers, Melina Kastle. Melina started teaching piano lessons with us two years ago. Moving from Aberdeen we were unsure how fast her schedule would fill up but it didn’t take long before we had to create a waiting list for her. Melina is getting married in May and moving to Ellensburg. Although we will miss having her at the studio we know that Ellensburg is about to get a really gifted piano and voice instructor.  You can follow her new studio on Facebook here.

Melina is a great example of what we strive for at Jammin’ Music Studios. She is friendly, talented, fun to learn from, and works with her students on the fundamentals as well as songs they like. Learning music should be something a student looks forward to, not something they dread. As a studio we are always looking for new ways to instill the excitement and joy of music into our students. Melina did this often and her students loved their music lessons with her.

If you are interested in more information about piano lessons with us in the Olympia, Lacey or Dupont areas please click here.

We wish you the best Melina!

  1. I’m afraid this is not going to be relevant to the blogpost, but I don’t know how to contact you otherwise! I hope you don’t mind! I was unable to send you a message through the “contact” link on your homepage.

Anyways, a few months ago you put out a video on Youtube teaching how to play “Safe and Sound” by Taylor Swift. With the video came a link to the tabs for the same song. The tabs were great and sounded good when played, without being too hard to play. Overall awesome! Sadly, the link does no longer work and I (and many others judging by the comments to the video) would very much appreciate it if you guys could reupload or fix the link to the tabs! The video is still available of course, but the tabs were more useful after learning the basics and when you just wanted to practice or try to memorize the song. Let us keep jammin’!

    Greetings from Sweden,
    Max
